The Undergraduate Certificate in Enterprise Systems is designed to equip students with a foundational understanding of enterprise systems, preparing them for roles as ERP professionals. The curriculum focuses on database design and development, systems analysis and design, and the fundamentals of ERP technology. Students also choose electives to further specialize their knowledge. The program serves as preparation for professional certifications from leading ERP vendors such as SAP, IBM, and Oracle. The certificate program is offered on the main campus and is part of the Department of Information Systems.
The certificate program requires a minimum of 15 units, comprised of 9 units of required courses and 6 units of electives. Required courses include Database Design and Development (CIS 3050), Systems Analysis and Design (CIS 3060), and Fundamentals of ERP Technology (CIS 4510). Elective courses, from which students choose 6 units, include Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse (CIS 4200), Introduction to Big Data (CIS 4560), Advanced Information Systems Development (CIS 4590), Healthcare Application Systems (CIS 4810), and Decision Support Systems (CIS 4870). Additional electives may be approved by an advisor.
