The Ministry of Education (MOE) Scholarship provided by the government of Taiwan is a fully-funded scholarship. It is given to students applying for Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD. You can apply to any university in Taiwan and then apply for the scholarship to get it funded. The benefits include tuition fee coverage of NTD 40,000 each semester, living allowance of NTD 15,000 monthly for undergraduate and NTD 20,000 monthly for graduate and doctorate students, Mandarin language training (if required), and opportunity to experience new culture and get mentorship and guidance. The deadline for MOE scholarship is 31 March, 2026.

To be eligible for the Ministry of Education Program Scholarship, applicants must meet specific academic, age, and residency requirements.
Nationality
Be a foreign national (not from China or Taiwan).
Previous Degree(s)
Bachelor’s requires an intermediate or equivalent qualification. Postgraduate programs require a bachelor's or master's degree, respectively.
Moral Character
Be of good moral character and have no criminal histories.
University Admission
Applicants must apply directly to a Taiwanese university or college and complete the admission standards. Obtaining an admission letter is essential for confirming the scholarship.
No Prior Study in Taiwan
Applicants should not be registered as student in Taiwan unless graduated this year and are applying for a higher degree. Exchange or dual degree students are also disqualified.
No Previous Scholarship Revoked
Applicant is ineligible for scholarship if their Taiwan or MOE Huayu Enrichment Scholarship has ever been revoked. Also, if they have taken 5 years of scholarship already, they will be considered ineligible.

Secure a University Admission
Secure admission or at least apply in any university of Taiwan to get accepted for the Scholarship.

Review & Submit
Before final submission, WWAH will provide a preview of the application. Double-check your entries and uploaded files. Once submitted, WWAH will generate your final application PDF and checklist.

Interview
The Taiwan Representative Office may arrange an interview (in person or by video conference) to judge the candidates better and if they fulfill the moral requirements for the scholarship.
Receive Your Offer Letter
If your application is successful, you'll receive an offer letter from the scholarship. Review the offer carefully and accept it through our portal. Some candidates may also be placed in a waiting list, who will be contacted if any selected applicant doesn’t fulfill the requirements.
