DAAD offers many government funded scholarships to students looking for studying in Germany. Development-Related Postgraduate Courses (EPOS) is a scholarship for Master’s and PhD level students who wish to continue higher studies in a development-related field. This is a fully funded scholarship that covers tuition fee, health, accident, and private liability insurance, travel allowance, as well as monthly assistance with rent and supplements (upon request only). For eligibility, each candidate must have previous degree (bachelor’s for graduate and master’s for doctorate), two years of work experience, language proficiency (English or German; whichever specified), and proven motivation to work in a development-related field.

To be eligible for the Development Related Postgraduate Scholarship (EPOS), applicants must meet specific academic, age, and residency requirements.
Bachelor's Degree
Applicant must hold a four-year degree in any related discipline that is not more than six years old.
Work Experience
Has at least two years of work experience in a developing country, in public or private sector.
Residence Status
If an applicant has been staying in Germany for longer than 15 months at the time of application, they will not be considered.
For English Courses, English Proficiency Test
Proof of adequate language skills according to the course applied for.
For German Courses, DSH 2 or TestDaF 4
Successful passing of the language examination DSH 2 or TestDaF 4 before the start of the study course. A minimum German language level of B1 at the time of application is a requirement, that needs to be proved by providing a current certificate.Scholarship includes a preparatory 6-month German language course in Germany.
Proven Development-Related Motivation
Candidates with proven development-related motivation who can be expected to showcase their responsibility and role in initiating and supporting changes in their surroundings after completing the course.

Apply to the University
Submit your application to the university along with DAAD EPOS scholarship form (provided on WWAH portal). You can only apply to the selective universities and their mentioned courses.
Pay the Application Fee (If required)
Make sure to pay the application fee (if applicable) to finalize your submission at the university. Payment can be made easily and directly to the university through bank, money exchangers, online apps and WWAH secure online payment system.

Meanwhile, a selection committee will recommend potential candidates to the DAAD.
