International Merit Scholarship is a partially-funded scholarship for Undergraduate and Graduate level students. It is sponsored by the University of Sheffield, UK. This scholarship has many benefits including, £10,000 tuition fee waiver for each year of study which means that it can provide support for up to 4 years for Bachelor’s and 2 years for Master’s. It is a prestigious and competitive award that also provides networking and career development opportunities. It is open for a wide range of programs, only excluding School of Dentistry and Medicine courses for Bachelor’s. The scholarship is only available for new international students who meet the eligibility criteria. The deadline for International Merit Scholarship for Undergraduate is in April, 2026 and in May, 2026 for Postgraduate Courses.

To be eligible for the International Merit Scholarship, applicants must meet specific academic, age, and residency requirements.
Enrollment into Autumn, 2026
Applicant must receive an offer for a course at the University of Sheffield. MArch courses are considered Postgraduate and shouldn’t be applied with Undergraduate status.
Self-Funded Overseas Status
For tuition fee purposes, the applicant must be self-funded and eligible to pay the overseas tuition fee. Sponsored students cannot apply.

After application is assessed, you will be notified of the result by WWAH. Result is usually announced within 2 months of the application deadline. You may accept the offer through our portal within the limited time communicated to you.
