The Chevening Scholarship UK offers fully funded graduate scholarships to scholars of various countries. If you have at least 2 years of work experience, you can apply to UK universities to receive unconditional offer letter from them. If you obtain at least one offer letter, you can be considered as a potential awardee. Check eligibility criteria and if you fulfill all requirements, you may apply for it. The deadline for Chevening Scholarship usually falls in between August to November each year. The results are announced around June for applying to the September/October intake. It offers scholarships for Master's courses with 1 year duration only. It cannot be less than 9 months or more than 12 months long.

To be eligible for the Chevening Program Scholarship, applicants must meet specific academic, age, and residency requirements.
Nationality
Applicant must be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country or territory. Not applicable if you are a British citizen.
Commitment to Return
Applicant must commit that they will return to their home country after scholarship ends for at least two years.
Undergraduate Degree
Applicant must hold an undergraduate degree for applying to the graduate degree.
Unconditional Offer Letter
Applicants can apply to any 3 universities and their courses, they must receive at least 1 offer letter to be eligible.
No Ties with UK Government, British Embassies/Council
Applicant or their relatives must not be affiliated to UK government, embassies, British Council,or any other partners of Chevening (universities included) in any capacity.
No Previous UK-funded Scholarships
Applicant must not have previously studied in the UK with any scholarship.

Track Your Application

Shortlisting & Interview
Applicants who pass the initial screening will be invited for an interview at the British Embassy or High Commission in their country. The interview focuses on your leadership potential, networking ability, and future impact. You’ll also be asked about your selected courses and career aspirations. WWAH will assist with personalized mock interviews, tips, and sample questions to help you prepare.
Conditional Award & Offer Letter
Successful interviewees will receive a conditional offer from Chevening. To turn it into a final award, you must fulfill all conditions—usually including an unconditional offer from one of your chosen UK universities and proof of English language proficiency.
Visa Application
Once you accept your Chevening award and secure your university admission, apply for a UK “Student Route” visa. WWAH will guide you through the visa application process, help you prepare necessary financial and identity documentation, and address any concerns.
Plan your Arrival
After your visa is approved, begin planning your journey. WWAH offers tips on accommodation, travel, and settling into your new environment.
