Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) was established in 1993 as the Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology (APIIT) in Malaysia. It was founded to meet the growing demand for IT and technology-related education. APIIT quickly gained recognition for its industry-focused curriculum and strong ties with global tech companies. In 2004, it was awarded university college status and became Asia Pacific University College of Technology & Innovation (UCTI).
