Course Overview!

The Student-Designed Major (B.A.) at Clark University allows highly motivated students to craft a personalized undergraduate program. Students work closely with faculty advisors to create a rigorous curriculum integrating courses from various departments, enabling exploration of diverse academic interests. This interdisciplinary approach allows for a unique educational experience tailored to individual career goals. Course Structure

The Student-Designed Major requires students to construct a comprehensive program that satisfies Clark University's academic standards. The program necessitates student collaboration with a faculty committee of at least three members representing different disciplines. These committees guide the student in course selection, ensuring a cohesive and rigorous academic path. Nearly any course can count towards the major with committee approval; study abroad and Higher Education Consortium of Central Massachusetts courses might also be included. A significant community-related project is often incorporated into the curriculum. Students may also pursue a minor in a complementary area. The structure of the major is quite flexible, reflecting the personalized nature of the program.
