Course Overview!

The Master of Science in Business Analytics is a graduate program designed to equip students with the skills needed to manage and analyze large datasets. The curriculum blends information technology, statistical methods, and current software applications to prepare students for data-driven decision-making across various sectors, including business, government, education, and nonprofits. The program is ideal for students with strong quantitative backgrounds (STEM and business) seeking mid-level positions requiring data analysis expertise. Students will learn to extract insights from complex data and apply them to real-world problems, enhancing their analytical and problem-solving skills.

Course Structure

The 33-unit MS in Business Analytics program comprises core courses covering introduction to business analytics, visual analytics, predictive analytics modeling, optimization and simulation models, quantitative marketing research, and marketing analytics. A culminating project (3 units) allows students to apply learned skills. Twelve elective units can be chosen from a range of courses including accounting, supply chain management, research methods, business intelligence, big data science, applied econometrics, health economics, finance, human resource analytics, project management, retail strategy, social media analytics, and data analysis for public and nonprofit managers.
