Course Overview!

Ball State University's online Master of Arts in Educational Psychology is a 30-credit program designed for education professionals and others working in fields related to learning and human development. The curriculum focuses on human learning and development, research methodology, statistics, and assessment. Students can customize their studies by choosing electives or specializing in areas like gifted and talented education, human development, institutional research or applied behavior analysis. Course Structure

The MA in Educational Psychology comprises 30 credit hours. The core curriculum (18 credits) covers learning and motivation (two courses), research and statistics (two courses), and psychometrics and assessments (one course). Students must also choose one course from a selection of human development courses. The remaining 12 credits can be selected from various specializations (Gifted and Talented, Human Development, Neuropsychology, Applied Behavior Analysis) or chosen as customizable electives. Specializations allow further focus in a specific area of educational psychology and include various courses focused on the selected specialization. Electives can be selected from a wide range of courses based on individual needs with approval from the program director for courses not listed as approved electives.
