Course Overview!

Ball State University's Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA) program is a professionally accredited, STEM-designated degree aiming to prepare students for leadership roles in addressing environmental, social, and public health challenges. The program features a low student-teacher ratio, nationally recognized faculty, a focus on sustainability and design process, and a unique four-course engineering sequence. It offers three tracks catering to different academic backgrounds: Track 1 for students with any bachelor's degree, Track 2 for those with environmental planning or design backgrounds, and Track 3 (a post-professional option) for students holding an accredited Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree. Course Structure

The MLA program is structured into three tracks of varying lengths: Track 1 (3 years, 78 credits), Track 2 (2.5 years, 65 credits), and Track 3 (1 year, 30 credits). All tracks emphasize sustainability, design process, and a strong foundation in landscape architecture principles.
