The Graduate Certificate in Adult and Community Education at Ball State University equips students with the theoretical understanding and practical skills necessary for facilitating effective adult and community education programs. Course Structure

The 15-credit certificate program offers two concentrations: Adult Education and Community Education. The Adult Education concentration includes core courses in Adult and Community Education and Continuing Education for Professionals, with electives chosen from a range of subjects focusing on adult learning psychology, organizational aspects of adult and community education, program planning, and collaborative learning. The Community Education concentration features core courses in Adult and Community Education and The Community Educator, along with electives emphasizing aspects of planning community education programs, managing community education, and understanding community education organizations. Students can choose courses to complete the program fully online or pursue a blended or on-campus learning format.
