Course Overview!

Ball State University's Bachelor of Arts/Science in Early Childhood Education Licensure is a four-year on-campus program designed to prepare students for careers as teachers of young children (birth through 3rd grade). The curriculum emphasizes child development theory, research-based practices, and developmentally appropriate teaching methods. Students gain a strong foundation in child development, educational psychology, and classroom planning. A significant component of the program involves hands-on experiences, including student teaching placements in various settings across the US and internationally. The program also prioritizes culturally responsive teaching practices and social justice commitment, encouraging community engagement and collaboration with various organizations.

Course Structure
