The Master of Science in Cybersecurity Engineering program at Auburn University is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to understand, analyze, develop, investigate, protect, and defend the cyber ecosystem of organizations. Course Structure

The MS in Cybersecurity Engineering requires 33 credit hours, including foundational courses, cybersecurity-specific courses, elective cybersecurity courses, and a capstone project. Foundational courses cover advanced topics in operating systems. Required cybersecurity courses encompass digital forensics, computer and network security (at both introductory and advanced levels), secure cloud computing, and cybersecurity threats and countermeasures. Students also complete a capstone engineering project. Electives allow for specialization within cybersecurity. The Graduate Certificate requires 9 credit hours focused on advanced education in the analysis, development, investigation, protection, and defense of computer and information systems, comprising Digital Forensics, Computer and Network Security, and Advanced Computer and Network Security.
