The Master of Science in Data Science and Business Analytics (ODL) program equips students with the knowledge and skills needed to leverage data science and analytics in modern business processes. The curriculum covers various aspects of data science, from data collection and utilization to advanced analytical techniques and business intelligence reporting. Students will develop practical skills through mini-projects and gain exposure to tools like R and SAS Modelers. The program benefits from collaboration with industry experts, providing real-world insights and opportunities. Graduates will be well-prepared for careers in various data-related fields, equipped with both theoretical understanding and practical experience.
The program consists of 11 coursework modules and a two-part Capstone Project. Eight compulsory core modules, including Research Methodology, form the foundation of the program. Students then choose one specialization pathway (3 modules) focusing on either Business Intelligence or Data Engineering. Prerequisite modules are required for students without computing-related Bachelor's degrees. The Business Intelligence pathway covers areas such as behavioral science, marketing analytics, forecasting, and emerging markets. The Data Engineering pathway covers Cloud Infrastructure, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, IoT Applications, and Data Protection.
