Course Overview!

The Master of Technology Management program at APU is designed to bridge the gap between technology and management. It aims to produce managers capable of navigating the dynamic technological landscape at all organizational levels. The program emphasizes strategic decision-making, aligning technology strategy with overall business goals, and fostering an understanding of how technology infrastructure contributes to competitive advantage. Graduates will demonstrate professional competencies in technology management, apply theoretical and technical knowledge, communicate effectively, exhibit initiative and independence in project planning, and critically evaluate technological developments. The program caters to technical graduates seeking management skills and non-technical managers needing to manage technology and personnel.

Course Structure

The program consists of 10 coursework modules and a project. Eight modules are core, including Research Methodology, and students choose two electives from a selection that may include modules on digital execution, data management, strategic marketing, marketing and sustainability. Prerequisite modules (one-month duration for non-business students) cover managing people, understanding customers, managerial finance, and the business environment. Core modules delve into creativity and innovation, business intelligence systems, new product development, statistical decision-making, technology management, technology, and culture. Students undertake an industry-based project emphasizing the application of technology in business environments.
