Course Overview!

The Master of Education in Learning Design and Technology (ODL) is a fully online program designed to equip educators with advanced skills in integrating technology and learning sciences into educational settings. The curriculum blends learning science principles, AI-driven tools, and cutting-edge digital technologies. The program focuses on practical skills application, utilizing state-of-the-art facilities and learner-centric teaching methodologies to foster independent learning and research. Graduates develop a comprehensive understanding of learning design and technology, including creating personalized learning environments and leveraging data-informed decision-making. The course aims to produce innovative and ethical leaders in education, transforming learners' experience across diverse environments, from traditional classrooms to corporate training and online platforms.

Course Structure

The program consists of nine coursework modules and a final project. Seven modules are core subjects, including a Research Methodology module. Students choose two elective modules from a selection. Prerequisite modules (Pedagogy for Teaching in a Digital Age and Principles of Curriculum Design) are required for students without an education-related bachelor's degree. Core modules cover learning sciences, digital learning environments, innovative assessments, learning design, AI-driven learning resources, research methodology, and learning analytics for decision-making. Elective modules could include Cybersecurity in Educational Technology, Video Games and Education, and Managing Creativity and Innovation. The final project requires independent research, investigation, and demonstration of theoretical and practical knowledge.
