(1896) Origins and Establishment

The university's roots date back to the Sichuan Chinese Western School founded in 1896. It took its modern shape through the merger of three major institutions in 1994 and 2000: former Sichuan University, Chengdu University of Science and Technology, and West China University of Medical Sciences.

Modern Day Development
