Middlesex University's roots date back to 1878 with the founding of St Katherine's College. In 1973, it merged with Hendon College of Technology. The university gained its current status in 1992. Middlesex Polytechnic became Middlesex University. The university expanded globally, opening campuses in Dubai (2005) and Mauritius (2009). Research excellence and international partnerships have fueled its growth. Today, it's a thriving, diverse institution. Middlesex University's roots date back to 1878 with the founding of St Katherine's College, a women's teacher training college. The institution evolved through mergers, becoming Hendon College of Technology in 1968 and later Middlesex Polytechnic in 1973. In 1992, Middlesex Polytechnic gained university status, officially becoming Middlesex University.
Modern Day Development
