The Eastern Institute of Technology (EIT) was established in 1975 in Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand, as a regional technical institute to provide vocational and higher education. In 2011, EIT merged with Tairāwhiti Polytechnic, extending its reach to Gisborne and strengthening its educational offerings.
